Furthering
on our success in 2005, NewNet
once again picked up a best broadband award at the ISPA
event, held in London on Friday 14th March 2008, beating such
well-known
rivals as Virgin Media.
The 10th annual Internet awards, organised by the Internet Service
Providers Association, is the premier event celebrating the cream of
the UK Internet industry and recognises companies who have responded to
the challenges of the past year.
The judges’ citation noted that they were extremely pleased
to
see NewNet pushing the limits of broadband capabilities by introducing
its own Local Loop Unbundled (LLU) service,
offering download speeds of up to 24meg.
To put the award into context, it is predicted that UK broadband
subscriptions will reach around 21 million by the end of 2012,
comprising of 19 million consumer lines and two million business
lines. Despite intense commercial pressures, NewNet has
demonstrated commitment to offering real value for money with broadband
services starting at just £8.95 per month for up to 24meg and
has
achieved an enviable reputation for UK based customer service. This
reputation is further supported by winning the best consumer broadband
award in 2008 and 2005.
